Who Am I?

Wesley

Coming from a poverty-stricken household in South Korea, I grew up in the foster care system. I navigated the education system largely by myself, and was able to transfer into Stanford University (~1.6% acceptance rate) from the California Community College System while earing 11 Degrees. Using the experience I've gained, I aspire to support future students seeking admission to top universities.

My background distinguishes me in college consulting. As a transfer student admitted to a top-tier institution, I bring direct experience with both freshman and transfer admissions processes — a dual perspective that most consultants lack. Transfer admissions operate under fundamentally different criteria and expectations than freshman applications, and my firsthand knowledge of both pathways allows me to develop nuanced, tailored strategies for each.

Additionally, my professional experience in academic policy provides critical insight into how institutional systems and decision-making processes work, enabling me to guide students more effectively through the transfer journey.
