I'm the ONLY Business Major at Stanford

I'm the only undergraduate business major at Stanford! I did this through the Individually Designed Major in Engineering (IDMEN), where my full major name is Engineering Design and Business Administration‼️

When I first came to Stanford I intended on majoring in either Management Science and Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering. Even though this was what I told everyone, neither major truly “called to me” leading to hours of researching the Stanford bulletin and discovering I could build my own major!

I brought together the technical background of an engineer and the leadership and oversight of a business leader, drafted an 11-page proposal, and worked with both faculty and staff to tailor my major to me. Poetically, Engineering Design and Business Administration was approved in the 100th year of both Stanford University School of Engineering and Stanford University Graduate School of Business!

Thank you to my two advisors Professors David Kelley and Adrian Lew, and Assistant Director Karolina Reyes for all the guidance and support in creating and approving Engineering Design and Business Administration!
