Founding of the Gay Liberation Front
Following the Stonewall Rebellion, activists formed the Gay Liberation Front (GLF), a radical organization that sought to challenge both legal and cultural oppression of LGBTQ+ people. Unlike earlier LGBTQ+ advocacy groups, GLF linked the fight for queer rights with broader social justice movements, including feminism and anti-racism. Their activism laid the groundwork for more inclusive and intersectional approaches to LGBTQ+ advocacy.
